Read Vegetables NZ's submission on the resource management reforms

Vegetables NZ has made a submission on the Government's resource management reform proposals. 

Basically, we continue to support the direction of the proposals but want to ensure:

• Final decisions reflect all the realities of commercial vegetable production in New Zealand 
• There is a national approach to production, without adding to compliance
• It is recognised that without other inputs such as water, nutrients and labour, and the ability to build structures like packhouses that support the supply chain, land is not highly productive.

Next steps

The next part of this reform process will be Vegetables NZ appearing in person in front of the select committee looking into the reforms. We do not have a date for that yet.
