Frank Florus comes to Pukekohe: 4 and 5 December 2023
Frank Florus, a crop specialist from Belgium with extensive knowledge of tomatoes but also with experience in other Solanaceae greenhouse crops, is in Pukekohe for two workshops on 4 and 5 December.
The 4 December workshop is for capsicum, cucumber and eggplant growers. It will cover energy, hygiene, production, nutrition, and pests and diseases.

The second workshop is on 5 December. It is for tomato growers and will cover climate control, irrigation, pests and diseases, investments and labour.

Keen to grow your knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices in vegetable crops by learning from experts in the field?
Don’t miss out on a series of practical workshops being hosted by Vegetables NZ, with support from A Lighter Touch, Plant & Food Research and Balle Brothers.
Beginning on 19 September, the ten weekly workshops will be held at the Pukekohe Demonstration Farm and include both in-field and classroom sessions. Those living outside the region can benefit from the classroom learning via an online link.
Starting at 7am and running for 90 minutes, the workshops will be demonstrated in a spring crop of lettuce to show IPM in action.
