VNZI advocates for vegetable growers on a range of central and local Government consultations in several key ways:
- VNZI writes a submission to make a direct point on a piece of policy, regulation or legislation on behalf of our members
- We act as a supporting body of Horticulture New Zealand's submission
- We support other vegetable product groups such as the Pukekohe Vegetable Growers Association, Onions New Zealand, Tomatoes New Zealand or Rural Contractors Association, in writing a submission
- VNZI commissions an expert authority, such as Market Access Solutionz, to write a technical submission on our behalf for growers.
In writing a submission, VNZI requests time in front of the relevant select committee to highlight our position before final consultation is completed.
